I start my own studio and am asked to build a fully featured bespoke e-commerce website for a big UK retailer. A successful partnership that eventually spans 13 years! I grow the studio and work with clients and other design studios as a freelancer for them too.

After the retail company closed, I pushed myself into a new role as a Project Manager for a Worldwide Franchising software company. This allowed me to learn new skills and challenges dealing with a development team, customers and stakeholders.

Ultimately, I miss creating software solutions for people and I want to get back to making clients happy - so I founded Bluecap Studios!

The Journey Behind Bluecap Studios Ltd

Over 20 Years of the good, the bad and the ugly!

I have spent over two decades in the web and software industry, navigating everything from fast-paced web studios and running my own agency, to architecting solutions for large UK e-commerce brands and Project Managing development for huge UK brands.

Approaching 50 years old is one of those milestones that forces you to evaluate exactly what you want out of your career. Launching Bluecap Studios Ltd in 2026 felt like the perfect next step. I wanted to step away from the corporate machinery and get back to working directly with business owners, providing a service that focuses on real, tangible results and delights every client.

Throughout my career, I've found that the real secret to a successful project isn't clever coding (though it certainly helps!), but instead it's crystal-clear communication. I pride myself on being the bridge between complex technical solutions and straightforward, business-focused commercial conversations.

How I Work

A partnership built on transparency, structure, and delivering exactly what was promised.

1. Listen & Translate

We start with your business goals, not technical constraints. I listen to your pain points and translate them into a clear, actionable project scope.

2. Build & Iterate

Development isn't a black box. I build cleanly and efficiently, keeping you updated with regular progress so there are no surprises.

3. Support & Scale

Launch day is just the beginning. I provide ongoing support, training, and scaling strategies to ensure your investment continues to perform.
